There's something truly natural about the way skateboarders explore their surroundings, in the way they redefine familiar places, and push boundaries with every push. But spend enough time on any early skateboard, and there was bound to be a problem—the parts. Screws would strip out and corrode for starters. Bearings often didn't come with spacers, and the ABEC ratings skate shops often sold them by didn't seem to add up

So, founder, David Rajewski, started doing what any skater would do, figuring it out with his friends, and by March 2009 they started what would eventually become the Fireball Supply Co. you know and love today.

Frustrated with the fact that he kept blowing through bearings, stripping out screws after a single use, or watching them corrode into dust simply because of the salty Southern California air, Rajewski began the process of sourcing, sorting, and testing part after part until he began to find more success than what was currently offered on the market.

The process of sourcing and sampling some of the best parts in the world naturally lead to a lot of testing. A lot of testing meant a lot of parts. So many in fact, that is started making sense to buy parts in bulk and selling the best ones using our research as guidance. It was this that became the first ever Fireball product in '09; The OG Mounting Hardware.

Now in their 3rd iteration, we developed off the initial feedback (thank you guys!) to create hardware unlike any on the market: strip-free, rust-resistant nuts and bolts that work.

A web store in 2009, and by 2010, our first wheel was born.

One of the first of it's kind, The Beast came Slide-Prepped, center-set and lips rounded just enough to let Fireball's first free ride wheels to slide into the hearts of skaters everywhere.

Not settled with the success of just one wheel, we recognized the need and demand for different wheels on a skateboard just like fins on a surfboard—where fin shape not only changes functionality, but fun itself. Two years later came the Scorch, and then the Incendo (keep ya eye's peeled in 2021 for this one). Today, our Tinder series makes for some of the smoothest swipes you'll ever make off your phone.

Steadily creating a name for ourselves for premium, yet affordable wheels, bearings and hardware, we have recently collaborated with several shapers to make limited runs of shortboards for day to day riding (or hanging on ya wall), but we're keeping our options more flexible for the future.

The truth about skateboarding starts when one understands the fastest way to find a skate spot is to look for a “No Skateboarding” sign. It takes confidence to fall freely away from common sense, but once you get your balance, the exploration has just begun. At Fireball we plan on using the principles we were founded on, namely that shortcuts only limit exploration, to ride new ways into the future of fun.

At the end of the day it’s just skateboarding. But at the end of the day, sometimes there is JUST skateboarding. We take that to heart.
